only dull people are brilliant at breakfast by oscar wilde

"The supreme object of life is to live. Few people live. It is true life only to realize one's own perfection, to make one's every dream a reality." (p1)

"What we want is a little more reality and a little less rhetoric...we wish that they would talk less and think more." (p3)

"Oh, it is indeed a burning shame that there would be one law for men and another law for women. I think that there should be no law for anybody." (p23)

Oscar Wilde is witty, incredibly intelligent beyond his time...and arguably can come across as a bit of an asshole. He thought incredibly highly of himself (which is implicated throughout many of his quotes), but rightly so, as he was an absolute genius. Almost a bible of common-sensical thought, Only Dull People Are Brilliant at Breakfast is a mere 52 pages of Wilde's quotes on life, writing and his own intelligence.

This is one of those books that you will want to read over and over again, and carry with you wherever you go. Everyone should read this at least once in their lifetime.
