all the light we cannot see by anthony doerr

Winner of the 2015 Pulitzer prize for fiction says a lot. And this book delivers. Number one is the writing. The sentences roll and sway like a sea of wheat ready for harvest.

A book that is simply a pleasure to read could get by without much of a story. But this book delivers a truly inspiring one, told in a complex plot. The dual narrative weaves together to a magnificent ending.

Anthony spent the better part of ten years putting this together and it shows in the delicate subtle descriptions of every moment.

My only wish is that I could have read it with my eyes closed. The best book I read last year and so far this year too.
